Stonington Harbor Light
Stonington, Connecticut

This stately granite structure with a 35 ft. octagonal tower dates from 1840. It served for 50 years, but the site became obsolete with the construction of the Stonington Breakwater Light in 1889.

Today the Stonington Historical Society operates a fine Maritime Museum in the keeper's quarters. Stonington is just east of Mystic, west of the Rhode Island state line.
